Vietnam solo travel itinerary

Traveling alone experience

In my case (July 2016) I applied for the 3 month visa thinking I could get behind or stay longer. The one month cost 40usd and the three months 50usd. Ten dollars difference that gave me the peace of mind to travel without rush. I had to go to the Vietnamese embassy in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. You get your visa overnight.

What to do: Canyoning not to be missed. Night market interesting. The crazy house is expensive for what it is, but there is nothing else to do. Flower garden not worth it. Walking along the lagoon is.

And well. I sincerely hope that the above information will help you to plan your routes. I repeat that this is information from July and August 2016 and is completely subjective. I am not an expert, but anyway, if you have questions, do not hesitate to leave me your comments and I will be happy to answer them.

Traveling alone

In many situations I thought, with all the anger in the world: “why did I come here? what am I doing here?”, but now that I have only a few hours left in the country I realize that I am not sorry for having gone through what I went through, for having visited this country that was always at the top of my list.

After a while of walking he saw that I was cold and he grabbed my hand, frozen, with his warm hand and carried me like that for several meters through mud and puddles of water. I knew that this sympathy would cost me a souvenir later, but the truth is that it seemed such a warm and maternal gesture that I did not refuse, on the contrary, it made me feel a connection that I had not felt for a long time with a local person.

When we stopped for lunch, she approached me with her products and I couldn’t say no, where have you ever seen a salesman walking for an hour with his future customer and protecting him from the rain? So I bought him a little bag.

Itinerary vietnam 15 days

Vietnam is not the most comfortable place to travel. The continuous scams make it tiring and frustrating for many travelers, so it is essential that you go with a very relaxed mentality, and take everything good and bad that happens to you as part of the experience to try to understand a little of this complex country.

In our two trips we alternated very bad experiences with amazing people we met. We noticed a huge difference between the Vietnamese who make a living out of tourism, and the one who lives off tourism. It is definitely the country we enjoyed the least in Southeast Asia, but if you ask around you will find travelers with all kinds of experiences; that is why, as we always say, the best thing to do is to go and draw your own conclusions.

The validity of the visa is 30 days, but keep in mind that it starts to run on the date that you say at the time of applying, and not once you enter Vietnam. That is to say, you cannot enter before the date you set, and if you enter after that date you will lose those days.

Traveling alone in europe

The paradisiacal beaches, the exultant nature, the charming places, the culture and the idiosyncrasy of its people; the rich and delicious gastronomy, the colors of the sky, the sea, the land, make it a wonderful combined trip.

The circular route in which we will arrive in Bangkok, from there we will travel to Siem Reap to visit the temples of Angkor in Cambodia; then we will go to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia; we will delight in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon in Vietnam, from which we will dive into Phu Quoc, the wonderful tropical island of Vietnam.

Give yourself a couple of days to see the capital, although as it has so many things to see I suggest that on returning from the route through Cambodia and Vietnam you leave another couple of days to enjoy this great city.

It has about one hundred thousand inhabitants and its environment is paradisiacal. Its beaches are postcard, as I say: white sand, crystal clear water, tropical forests, and a very interesting capital Duong Dong.
