Couples in search of a high-end beach resort will have access to exclusive shopping malls next to beautiful beaches in Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Although yachting in the bay may be out of your price range, you can still take advantage of the private clubs, tennis courts, golf courses, tropical gardens, plus various waterfront restaurants.
Most of the best beaches in Portugal are in the southwest of the country, south of Lisbon and located along the Algarve Coast. The longest and widest with firmer sand is located at Praia da Rocha in Portimao. Frequented by tourists during the summer, the beach is protected by cliffs and known to be a popular destination for sunbathing, swimming, surfing, walking and beach volleyball.
Aesthetically, Porto de Mos beach near Lagos certainly wins when it comes to the best Portuguese beaches given its natural beauty. The golden sands, colorful cliffs, caves and rock formations are stunning against the turquoise sea. What’s more, the beautiful beach is blessed by sea breezes that create a pleasant and enjoyable climate.
