In the afternoon a great plan would be to do this tour of Bilbao + Artxanda funicular from where you will have one of the best views of the city. To sleep, I have chosen for you the Casual Gorea hotel, in the heart of the city and more than 2700 reviews of outstanding.

The accommodation I recommend in Llanes is the hotel San Jorge, where we will spend 2 nights, the 6th and the 7th. The hotel is quite well located, there is free parking and it is in a beautiful environment.

Once in Cangas de Onis, we will check-in at the hotel Los Lagos Nature, where we will spend two nights, we will face its beautiful Roman bridge and we will head to the hermitage of Covagonda (0h 11min) and its lakes. Don’t forget its lakes!

8 days in northern spain

The Galician Coast, the Green Coast, the Cantabrian Coast and the Basque Coast are a paradise of greenery, nature, cliffs and lots of life. But in addition, we will find many charming villages and cities full of cultural heritage.

And what can we say about the Basque Country! One of those areas that you could visit forever. A walk along the Playa de la Concha, admire the Peine de los Vientos, discover medieval villages like the beautiful Hondarribia or make the most of the culture with the Guggenheim Museum are some of the millions of options we have on trips to the Basque Country.

NOTE 2: In each section I explain a little about each place. In some of them you will find links to articles dedicated to some of the places I talk about in the route. I also include links to find accommodation in each area.

With that margin of time you should plan well the route and decide which places will be visited and which will be sacrificed (keep in mind that any of the four could perfectly need a week to visit them in isolation).

If you want to focus on the Principality, you can look at this article with the route along the coast of Asturias or this one with the most beautiful villages of Asturias that I have ). The places close to the main road are:

Being 3 or 4 weeks in a row visiting everything that each province offers can be very tiring, so my advice is to select places of each section, those that are most attractive to each one, so you can get the most out of what each province offers.

On such a long route it is difficult to give advice on accommodation. What I am going to do is to put direct links to the accommodation options available through the Booking website in each Autonomous Community.

The Algarve is more than sun, with beautiful beaches and natural landscapes, villages with a culture and history to discover such as Albufeira, Faro, Tavira and a full day in the wonderful city of Seville with an official guide. Few cities can bring together as many attractions as Seville. The city itself is a combination difficult to match, rich in history, monuments of interest and corners with a special charm, making it one of the places with more personality in Andalusia.

Dare to discover Asturias in an unforgettable circuit where you can visit Gijón, Oviedo, Llanes, or Luanco knowing new environments, neighborhoods and cultures, strolling through its streets and visiting monuments and curiosities, exciting museums … among millions of interesting plans to do.
