U.S. citizens and permanent residents of the United States may sponsor their immediate family members for permanent residency. In accordance with ESTA regulations that went into effect on August 1, 2008, international travelers traveling to the United States must apply for travel authorization as soon as possible, but no less than 72 hours prior to departure of their international flight.
Due to changes in ESTA application processing, real-time approvals will no longer be available. Passengers who apply on the same day as their flight departure risk not having an ESTA approved prior to departure. International travelers without ESTA approval will not be able to board their flight to the United States.
