Previously: Well, consulting official sources of the European Union, we have seen that the EU Ambassador to the United States, Stavros Lambrinidis, published a tweet in which he said he was working with his colleagues from the Member States on a plan to open the borders between Europe and the United States, to allow, among others, travel for tourism. Visiting Times Square, falling in love with the charms of the natural parks or touring the mythical Route 66 are just some of the charms that may lead you to visit the USA. However, if you are going to ‘cross the pond’ you should know that to visit the United States you will need certain procedures and documentation, whatever the reason for your trip.
Do I need a visa, what does the ESTA application consist of, do I need to bring my passport? Resolving these questions is essential if you plan to travel to the U.S., among other things, because if you do not do so you may not comply with some of the requirements for travel and, consequently, you may be surprised to find yourself stranded on the ground.
Every trip requires prior preparation but when it comes to setting foot in the United States, the bureaucracy, paperwork and the succession of forms to complete all the documentation that is part of the requirements to travel to the country can be overwhelming.
With the proper information, successfully completing the process is not that complicated. In addition, there are certain issues that, while not mandatory requirements for travel to the United States, are highly recommended:

Not everyone who wishes to travel to Costa Rica needs a tourist visa. This will depend on your nationality, purpose of visit, country of residence and length of stay. Visa requirements or exceptions are based on international agreements or treaties. In addition, the visa does not guarantee entry to Costa Rica and as in the United States of America, it depends on the immigration officer upon arrival. Obtain information about visa requirements and application form here.
1. U.S. citizens do not require a Costa Rican entry visa, however, they must have a current valid passport and a ticket to leave Costa Rica within 90 days of entry (either to return to their home country or to go to another country). As a tourist, U.S. citizens cannot stay longer than 90 days. For a stay of more than 90 days a residency permit must be established.
If you will be traveling to Costa Rica from South America and/or Sub-Saharan Africa, you will need the YELLOW FEVER VACCINE. Check the affected countries in the following links: African Continent, South America and Caribbean. You will be able to travel to Costa Rica ten days after the vaccination. Exceptions
