Tours in spain and portugal
If someone can advise us on how to organize and optimize the tour, taking into account that the idea is to do it between 25 to 30 days in mid-August to September. We would be very grateful.
Keep in mind that the Arabs are no longer in the Portuguese territory since the 13th century (1249 is the official date), 2 centuries less than in Spain. Some more info http://tusdestinos.net/mertola-portugal-visitas-viajes-alentejo/
We have been taking a quick look at the links, you offered me, super complete and wonderful info about the Algarve area, are there similar links about the rest of Portugal? What beautiful places!!!.
You have to try to make a day by day itinerary to be able to comment on what will be best… there are too many things. We have more than 800 years as a country and almost all the people have been around here so you can find things with thousands of years….
I am understanding, consulting maps I see that to complete our information we must get information about the central region, north and Vale do Tejo. About Lisbon we have a lot of data… Studying all that, we will be able to decide which points to touch, because to travel through such a rich country in history and natural beauties, 30 days would be few. A thousand apologies for the lack of knowledge and thank you very much for your willingness to help.
Travel Spain and Portugal
On May 30 I will be arriving in Barcelona and I will stay 3 nights and then I will head south. I have 4 full weeks until June 26th and the idea is to visit some of these cities Valencia, Malaga, Cordoba, Granada and/or Seville. Then I would like to cross the border to Portugal to visit the Algarve and continue north to Lisbon and Porto to return to Barcelona by plane and stay a few more days.
As for the Portuguese Algarve region, to visit the coast and its small towns and some of the interior, minimum 4-5 full days (5-6 nights spread over two areas, 2-3 nights near Faro capital, 2-3 nights more near Sagres or Lagos).
In the case of Barcelona it would not be necessary to go all over, as I have a couple of friends living there and Madrd and Barcelona are the main entry points to Europe from Uruguay, so in the future I will have the opportunity to stay a few more days.
I am analyzing to go from Valencia and go from Barcelona to Malaga, Granada or Seville by plane, my initial idea was to go south by train and stop in cities to not make many hours and know something, but I see that to move from Valencia I have to go to Madrid first and are journeys of more than 5 hours.
