The celebration of Christmas lasts until Epiphany, January 6, when La Befana is celebrated. Celebrations vary from city to city, with special highlights in Venice and Urbania in the Marche region. Recommendations for visiting Tuscany
As for the weather in the region, we knew we were not going in the best season, but work reasons prevent us from traveling at other times (the trip was made during August), so we had to adapt the activities to try to minimize the exposure to heat and look for options to better pass those moments.
In certain things, the standard of living is quite similar to what we can have in our country; in others, however, there may be considerable increases. We detected quite big differences in: Gasoline and tolls, restaurants (due to the fact of charging the covered) and alcoholic beverages (beer / wine basically).
The subject of the visits is also to take into account because in some places they can have important costs (in Florence, for example, the volume of things to visit is so high that it can take a good pinch of the budget).
