Continue the route by car, now already in the Chianti region, famous for its wines. In the afternoon you will arrive in Florence and you will have time to stroll through its historic center. Book a hotel to spend the night in Florence. For dinner we will recommend a real gem: a local restaurant, very good and cheap.

The route continues this day to Venice. For this, you can continue with the rental car but we recommend you to go by train (in the Detailed Route we will give you the website and directions so you can book it without problems). Upon arrival you will have time to visit St. Mark’s Square and surroundings. Overnight in Venice.

Recommended route to stroll through the most emblematic neighborhoods of Venice: San Polo, Dorsoduro and Santa Croce. Night in Venice.  We will recommend several local restaurants, especially to try the “cicchetti”, Venetian tapas bars very famous among the locals but unknown to most tourists!

This route starts in Rome and ends in Venice, because this way the round trip flights will be cheaper for you. You can always do it the other way around, following the directions of the Detailed Route in the opposite direction.

Cortina d’ampezzo

Looking for a fun-filled vacation with friends? No need to go abroad: Italy offers many opportunities for young people, scattered throughout our wonderful Peninsula. Merging beautiful sea, cozy beaches and nightlife is not so difficult and, in some cases, can be even more economical than foreign destinations … here is our list!

Splendid beaches, crystal clear waters, natural attractions such as the famous Blue Grotto: Tropea is this and much more. Its famous village perched on the seafront offers young people many possibilities for fun afternoons and evenings.

This, of course, has translated into an increase in its prices as the main Italian summer tourist destination, so it will be difficult to find low-cost solutions: in short, better book in advance and resign yourself to put your wallet!

It is clear that its status as a super vip destination is paid … therefore it is one of the most expensive summer destinations in Italy, and also the nightlife, between discos and clubs, is not so cheap. You will hardly enter a disco for less than 20,00 € and you will not spend less than 10,00 € for an aperitif on the beach. But if you are looking for maximum fun …

Summer in Italy 2022

Lecce has an unmistakable style. With its monuments, which date back to Roman times and, above all, the extraordinary 17th century buildings with the characteristic color of its local stone that tends to blond. The atmosphere is lively and sparkling. During the day, you can spend hours in the sun on its beaches, which are just a few kilometers from the city. At night, the old town will welcome you with its elegant and timeless narrow streets and, of course, its delicious restaurants.

It was the cradle of the Renaissance and the world capital of art in the 15th century. It has one of the most important historical centers and some of the most famous museums in the world. Surrounding it is one of the most emblematic and characteristic landscapes on the planet. Everything in Florence is spectacular: from the stores to the streets that lead to the hills immediately behind the most touristic areas; from the most genuine and popular neighborhoods, which emerge just outside the historic center, to the monuments that express its soul.

Are you preparing your trip to Italy and don’t know where to start? Is it better to land on the Italian islands or be seduced by the charm of the beaches of mainland and peninsular Italy? Surely knowing some of the attractions of both can help you decide so here are our bets for this summer. Take note!
