Continue the route by car, now already in the Chianti region, famous for its wines. In the afternoon you will arrive in Florence and have time to stroll through its historic center. Book your hotel for the night in Florence. For dinner we will recommend a real gem: a local restaurant, very good and cheap.

The route continues this day to Venice. For this, you can continue with the rental car but we recommend you to go by train (in the Detailed Route we will give you the website and directions so you can book it without problems). Upon arrival you will have time to visit St. Mark’s Square and surroundings. Overnight in Venice.

Recommended route to stroll through the most emblematic neighborhoods of Venice: San Polo, Dorsoduro and Santa Croce. Night in Venice.  We will recommend several local restaurants, especially to try the “cicchetti”, Venetian tapas bars very famous among the locals but unknown to most tourists!

The celebration of Christmas lasts until Epiphany, January 6, when La Befana is celebrated. Celebrations vary from city to city, with special highlights in Venice and Urbania in the Marche region. January is a great month for skiing in Italy, as many of the best resorts in the Alps and Dolomites have fewer people than in high season. On January 17, the feast of St. Anthony Abbot is celebrated in many towns in the north and center of the country. Bonfires, dances and toasts set the mood for the feast of the patron saint of butchers, domestic animals, basket makers and gravediggers.

In February, temperatures begin to rise, but it is still too early to put away your coat. The ski season reaches its peak coinciding with the school vacations, so the slopes are crowded. Temperatures range from 0°C in the Alps in the north to 15°C in the sunnier south.

Italy is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. On the one hand, this is due to the wonderful old towns, great beach regions and scenic attractions such as Tuscany. On the other hand, it is due to the Mediterranean climate, which runs through much of the Italian boot.

Travelers who prefer sunshine can travel to Sicily as early as March. In the summer months, from June to September, for example, temperatures of up to 30 °C and low rainfall of no more than 64 millimeters can be found in Messina.
