Lecce has an unmistakable style. With its monuments, dating back to Roman times and, above all, the extraordinary buildings of the seventeenth century with the characteristic color of its local stone that tends to blond. The atmosphere is lively and sparkling. During the day, you can spend hours in the sun on its beaches, which are just a few kilometers from the city. At night, the old town will welcome you with its elegant and timeless narrow streets and, of course, its delicious restaurants.

It was the cradle of the Renaissance and the world capital of art in the 15th century. It has one of the most important historical centers and some of the most famous museums in the world. Surrounding it is one of the most emblematic and characteristic landscapes on the planet. Everything in Florence is spectacular: from the stores to the streets that lead to the hills immediately behind the most touristic areas; from the most genuine and popular neighborhoods, which emerge just outside the historic center, to the monuments that express its soul.

ITALY imposes the COVID PASSPORT in TRANSPORTATION

What is COVID? It is a very contagious and serious infectious disease caused by a virus of the paramyxovirus family. It is usually transmitted through direct contact and through the air either by contact with nasal, mouth or throat fluids of an infected person.

It is a live attenuated virus vaccine that generates protection against the four serotypes of the disease (DENV-1 to DENV-4). The recommendation and application for travelers depends on the risk factors associated with the person and itinerary, since it must be demonstrated that the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks of presenting adverse effects according to the medical history elaborated during the consultation by certified physicians.

I arrived in Italy and these are my travel requirements

On March 14, 2022, the presentation of the vaccination passport in those places where it was required (leisure and cultural centers, commercial catering, trade fairs and professional shows, etc.) ceased to be mandatory. Similarly, the health passport ceased to be in force on August 1, 2022.

Since the beginning of the crisis, the health control system has made it possible to preserve our health system and to delay the arrival on French territory of variants with worrying characteristics. This system ceased to be in force on August 1, 2022.

However, in the event of the emergence of a dangerous variant, the entry into French territory of travelers from countries considered to be at risk could again be subject to the presentation of a negative virological test.

For information on health regulations concerning entry into the territory of other countries, please consult the Travel Advice section of the website of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
