Cost to travel to italy

How many euros do I need to travel to italy

Forget about carrying money and change currencies at the airport, in any tourist office or on websites like Ria or Exactchange. They will always tell you that they do not apply commissions but they have them included in the exchange rate and they are usually between 6% and 10% even. The logical alternative is to pay whenever possible by credit card. But be careful because most banks apply a 4% commission on credit card payments abroad (and those who say they do not apply it, such as EVO bank, hide their commission in the exchange rate).

If you want to save this extra cost, do not hesitate. Travel with REVOLUT. A new free card, with an App from which you will control everything in a very intuitive way and that always applies the interbank exchange rate.

The average daily cost depends a lot on your tastes. In my case I try to go to almost all the main attractions and for almost all of them you have to pay an entrance fee. Lunch is usually a sandwich, salad to take away or pizza by weight (cheap stuff) and then dinner in a trattoria. On average I would count a little more than 60 € per person per day as there are quite expensive tickets.

100 euros per day (2 people) seems to me not enough. Rome is a bit expensive, as is Venice. In all major Italian cities, you have to spend (especially in Rome) on museums, entrance fees to monuments, which makes the average per day more expensive; for example: Vatican Museums 16 euros + 4 euros booking fee = 20 euros (booking at www.museivaticani.com); Colosseum: 12 euros (includes Palatine and Roman Forum, although for a short stay in Rome of 3 days for example, I would not visit Palatine-Roman Forum, only the Colosseum).

Hi Morita: Thanks for your input. I ask you a question…, is it possible to buy for all destinations from Termini station in ROME, is there usually availability on regional trains, because my concern is not to end up overpaying, because there are no options, since there are specific dates that I will have to be in the other destinations because I will be staying there.
