To go from Athens to the picturesque island of Mykonos, you will have to take a ferry (the island does not have an airport).on the island of Mykonos we spent a total of 24 hours … Yes! We knew it was not much time, but at least, we wanted to know the essentials of the island. After having done it, we can tell you that we did not regret it at all, it was a great decision. Our ferry arrived at the new port, the area where we had rented the hotel for the night. A few minutes away is the old port, which can be reached on foot or by ferry bus. In this area is where the center is located and from where we would take the ferry to Santorini.

Distance from athens to mykonos
When I thought about traveling to Santorini the main inconvenience I found was how to get there from Athens. At first it seemed an easy option: take a plane or a ferry and in less than a cock’s crow you will be with your feet in the water. but no friends, the cock is a little lazy or very expensive.
First of all the price was a little more expensive than we had imagined. Secondly, the time of departure and return did not suit us because we did not have that much time and we wanted to make the most of our time on the island. That is why we thought of a different option.
If we could not get there by water because of budget or time we had to do it by air so we looked for tickets and to our luck the price was really low, but again there was a drawback: it left at 0.30 to Santorini and the return to Athens was the same, but we had to accept it or we would pay much more.
The best advice I can give to those looking for how to get from Athens to Santorni is to think of the plane as an alternative because you may be in for a pleasant surprise. As for the schedule it is wise to follow some traveler’s tips and tricks.
