The best beach weather in Santorini is from June to September. July and August are the busiest months when hotels are full and restaurants are full. If you are more interested in sightseeing, hiking and great views, the months of March, April, May, October and November are excellent.
Santorini hotels are booked very early. The best hotels can be fully booked 4 to 6 months in advance. Book the hotels listed below, especially early, and at least if you are visiting in July, August or early September.
You need 2 to 3 days minimum to familiarize yourself with the island, see the main attractions, take a boat or wine tour, experience the sunset from a couple of different locations, and try some of the island’s excellent restaurants. You can easily fill a week with long walks, swimming and sunbathing, and more tours, restaurants, nightlife and dancing. If you have more than a week in Greece, I invite you to spend 7 days in Santorini and then travel to a different island. You are likely to experience more by seeing Naxos, Paros, Ios, Mykonos, Crete or Rhodes than staying in Santorini for a second week.

My trip was in September 2020, during the pandemic. Of course, some things have changed, especially in the travel industry, so I prepared myself very well before traveling. I was there in the month of September and it was a fantastic date. There were not as many people as in the months of July-August (full high season) and the temperature was ideal. Of course, it should be noted that I traveled in 2020 and the number of tourists was quite small.
