The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the support of Mexican embassies and consulates abroad, is monitoring the effects of the U.S. Government’s announcement that it will deny entry to those who have been in the Schengen area during the 14 days prior to their arrival in the United States.
It is important that those affected by this travel restriction consult with the airlines regarding options to modify their itinerary and stay informed of the most recent decisions of the U.S. government.
Updates on COVID restrictions for the
Domestic flightsUnited States: Domestic flights are those within the same country and its territories, such as from New York to California, or from Puerto Rico to Florida. As of June 2022, none of the 50 U.S. states required negative tests for travel to the destination. However, cities such as New York, Boston, Washington D.C., and others require evidence of vaccination in order to enjoy certain indoor activities. Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Guam and the Virgin Islands also eliminated entry restrictions by June 2022.
International FlightsUnited States: As of June 12, 2022, restrictions on international flights into Puerto Rico and the United States (meaning flights originating outside the United States) are eliminated. You will NO longer need a negative result to return to Puerto Rico and the United States from an international destination.
What you should KNOW before TRAVELING TO CUBA I
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) allows citizens of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business purposes for a period of less than 90 days without obtaining a visa. However, there are some restrictions. Not all countries participate in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
All citizens of visa waiver countries planning to travel to the United States temporarily for business or pleasure under the Visa Waiver Program will need to receive an electronic travel authorization before boarding a plane or cruise ship bound for the United States. As of September 8, 2010, anyone wishing to travel under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) and needing to apply for an electronic authorization must pay a U$14 fee by credit card. For more information, click here.
