On the other hand, November to March is the worst season to travel to Greece, as temperatures will be colder and many of the tourist attractions will be closed. The summer months are considered high season in Greece, as it is the time that receives more tourists. Our advice to travel to Greece and know thoroughly the city of Athens is that at least you stay in the city about three days. Only with that time you will be able to know each one of the places of interest that this city has. If you want you can combine your walks around the city with one of the tours or guided visits that are offered in this, certainly the best combination. You should keep in mind that if you go to the country during the high season you will find long lines in many of the places of interest.

The high season to go to Greece is between the months of June to August. However, prices go up to 400% more vs. if you go in other seasons. Two other factors that you should take into consideration if you travel in this season are the high temperatures and the large number of tourists that will make it impossible to enjoy many places to the fullest. Taking into account these details we recommend as the best seasons to visit Greece in relation to cost/climate the months of April-May and from the end of September to the beginning of November. December to March is the lowest and cheapest season, but also the coldest and many guesthouses close, specifically on the islands.
