The high season to go to Greece is between the months of June to August. However, prices go up to 400% more vs. if you go in other seasons. Two other factors that you should take into consideration if you travel in this season are the high temperatures and the large number of tourists that will make it impossible to enjoy many places to the fullest. Taking into account these details we recommend as the best seasons to visit Greece in relation to cost/climate the months of April-May and from the end of September to the beginning of November. December to March is the lowest and cheapest season, but also the coldest and many guesthouses close, specifically on the islands.

Greece is one of the most popular destinations on the European continent, with a wide variety of activities and a long list of paradisiacal islands, a tailor-made destination for every tourist. The perfect place for those looking for a cultural destination or a destination of disconnection, it stands out for its extensive culture, present everywhere, along with its picturesque art.
With an impressive history, Greece hides from iconic architecture to its already famous mythology. The hospitality with which tourists are welcomed is undoubtedly one of the main reasons to travel to Greece, and in many cases, to return.
One of the best options is continental Greece, passing through the capital, Athens, with its millenary constructions of the Greek Empire. Or try relaxing on one of its most iconic islands, such as Crete, Mykonos or Santorini, taking advantage of the opportunity to visit the entire archipelago of Greek islands in the Aegean Sea.
In this day and age and with the amount of tourism in Greece, practically everyone speaks English; you can even find places where you can be understood in French, Italian, German and Spanish. So you won’t have much of a problem when traveling in tourist areas.
Tourism in Greece
It is undoubtedly the best known island. You can get there by plane or, if you wish, by boat to the port of Athinios. If, apart from sun and beach, you are looking for a romantic place with spectacular views and nightlife, this island should be on your list of places to see in Greece. Of volcanic origin, you will be surprised by the black color of its rugged beaches, which contrasts with the blue sea and white houses. Some of the most recommended are Red Beach, White Beach, Kamari and Perissa. The center of the city has the privilege of being located on the western side of the island from where you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets while ending the day tasting some of the traditional dishes of the area such as grilled octopus, fava hummus or dolmas.
370 kilometers of history, myths and green, white and blue beaches. This is Crete. The largest island to see in Greece, among the more than 6,000 that make up the country. To travel to Crete is to enter fully into the world of Greek mythology. Legend has it that Zeus himself was born on the island and Minos, one of his sons and Minoan king of the Palace of Knossos, locked the Minotaur in a labyrinth. This famous palace, along with the Palace of Festos, the Palace of Gortina and the Agia Triada are some of the essential archaeological sites to see in Crete.
