When is the best time to travel to france

High season in paris

Indice

If you prefer to travel to Paris in summer, you will notice that it is a time of very hot temperatures. The average temperature is around 35ºC. In summer we recommend you to wear light clothes and keep in mind that the heat can be quite hot and oppressive.

In summer, although the heat is oppressive in the street, you can take advantage of the shadows in the parks, warm evening strolls and, above all, enjoy the air conditioning in the museums and the cool of the cathedrals. During the summer month, you can also enjoy shopping in malls to stay cool and enjoy the various events taking place in the city.

As in other cities in Europe, winter in Paris can be quite harsh. Average temperatures hover around 5ºC and on some days temperatures can even drop below freezing. From November to January it usually rains very often, in addition to occasional stone falls or snow.

Spring can be a good time to visit Paris if you want to visit the city well and do not want to spend much cold or heat. It is advisable to travel between the months of May and June, as temperatures are around 20 ° C maximum. During these two months you will enjoy long days, many sunny days and pleasant temperatures to visit the city.

If you finally decide to go to Paris our recommendation is that you have a travel insurance that allows you to live the experience to the fullest and be prepared for any unforeseen health, luggage or transportation and that can generate expenses that you did not count on. Keep in mind that in many occasions having this type of insurance is a saving, since the unforeseen events that may arise are usually more expensive than this, from medical visits, in case you get sick, to shopping for basic necessities, in case your suitcase is lost.

If we take into account in our budget all the possible expenses that you may have during your stay between accommodation and the various expenses that may arise, you can set a budget of about 50 euros per day. Within these expenses we would also take into account the different tourist activities in the city.

In the case of the plane ticket, this will depend more on the airlines, the type of ticket you buy and the country from which you travel. Estimating the price of the ticket is somewhat complicated since it depends on many factors and can vary. If you find a good offer, the price of the ticket may not exceed 100 euros, but in high season it will be very difficult to find such offers.

Places to visit in France

It’s not that Paris is changing its appearance, but there are months, such as winter, when fewer tourists make the city seem much quieter, less crowded and even cheaper, even if it’s so cold that you have to make plans inside.  If you want to enjoy the outdoors, in spring and summer many other events and activities await you, most of them rich in culture and art. Which one do you choose?

Although the weather is also good in summer, you will find more crowds at tourist attractions and higher prices for accommodation.  Of course, if you want to take advantage of the holiday of July 14 and see the fireworks of the Eiffel Tower, book a few days because it is a real treat.

Although each season has its pros and cons, every time you go to Paris you will have many plans to do to discover the wonders of a city that all visitors love. I tell you from experience!

Among the most important works of art in the Louvre are Da Vinci’s La Gioconda and the Venus de Milo, one of the most beautiful sculptures of ancient Greece.  Also, the architecture of the building and the pyramidal square that gives access to visitors are worth a visit.

Low season in italy

The first clarification to talk about the best time to travel to France is that I would make a great distinction between the northern and southern climates. While in the north in winter the cold is more intense and the summers are mild with cool to warm temperatures, very different can be the center and south with its Mediterranean climate on the coast.

Undoubtedly, the best time to visit the north of France is in summer, as temperatures tend to be more temperate. Paris can be very hot in summer if we coincide with the weeks of summer heat wave. On the other hand, the rest of the summer and the seasons in between can be pleasant. And in winter, it is not unusual for our trip to coincide with days close to zero degrees or directly with snow. However, as perfection does not exist, the summer days, and especially August, will coincide with the vacations of the French themselves: occupancy and prices in all summer resorts soar.
