However, it keeps some pearls of its historical heritage, worthy of being visited. It is also a stop on the high-speed train. It highlights its cathedral of St. Justus and Shepherd, a remarkable Gothic temple whose vaults rise to more than 40 meters high. It is advisable to arrive before six in the evening to be able to visit its interior. The central town hall square (Hotel de la Ville) and the surrounding streets are a good place to stroll and enjoy the old town.
But the corner of the city that I like the most is the Robine canal that joins the Aude river with the Mediterranean at the height of Narbonne. In the 17th century, this canal was opened to ensure that boats had access to the sea. Today it is possible to rent boats to make the 32 kilometers of journey, that if, saving the thirteen locks that are from the city to reach the sea.
