The Côte d’Azur, also known as the French Riviera, is the Mediterranean coastline in the extreme southeast of France. There is no official limit, but it is generally considered to extend from Toulon, Le Lavandou or Saint-Tropez, in the west, to Menton, on the border between France and Italy, in the east.

Although the official currency is the Swiss franc (1 euro is equivalent to 1.06831 francs), euros are accepted in establishments located in the most tourist areas of the Principality. In addition, you can change euros into banknotes in any bank in the Principality, and some ATMs even issue euros directly.

The quality of health care is very good. However, Monaco is not a Member of the European Union and therefore the European Health Insurance Card does not provide health coverage in the Principality, so it is essential to have travel health insurance, such as Totaltravel.
