To buy a sample of the enormous variety of French cheeses, it is best to go to a fromagerie, where they usually have at least 200 varieties. Italy to France distance
32 days is enough time and well organized you can travel a lot, always taking into account an adequate pace for your family, try to stay between 3 and 5 nights at least per city, and those that do not require so many days, see if it is possible to visit them during the day by making a base in another city.
I recommend you try to do everything by train, avoiding the stress of internal flights. Traveling by train is a pleasure, you go comfortably, without luggage restrictions, without going back and forth to distant airports and long waits beforehand. I would try to organize the whole trip by train, with cities well connected by high speed trains.
Golden rule for Europe, you only visit from a base something that is at most 2 hours away, do you know that a day trip to Venice is 1000 kilometers round trip, can you visit Florence or Venice in one day?
