West of York, you can visit the Georgian village of Harrogate. Then you can head out and explore a few days of nature in the Yorkshire Dales, which are a marvel. In the Yorkshire Dales, you can find The Forbidden Corner, a garden full of mazes that your children will love.
Going towards the coast of Yorkshire, you can stop and visit the Castle Howard and finally you can go to the coast of this county and discover the villages of Scarborough and Whitby, and don’t forget to try their seafood!
Located in the heart of the city of York. “The Shambles is an ancient medieval street and is one of the best preserved in Europe. This narrow and narrow street has half-timbered buildings, some of which date back to the 14th century. The buildings slope into the middle of the cobblestone street and the roofs almost touch at the top, it’s impressive! In some sections of ‘The Shambles’ it is possible to touch both sides of the street with outstretched arms. It is said to be the inspiration behind ‘Diagon Alley’ from the Harry Potter movies.

We’ve already told you here why Whitby is one of the most beautiful villages in the north of England, but it’s so bucolic that we can’t help but do it again! Imagine the breathtaking beauty of its cliffs and the fierceness of the sea for Bram Stoker to place here several scenes of his novel Dracula: it will not cost you anything to imagine the Count walking among the ruins of Whitby Abbey, with its stamp presiding over the cliff and where the wind and the force of the sea, at his feet, make it one of the magical places of England par excellence.
And, continuing with the myths, be sure to visit the tomb of Anne Bronte in Scarborough, a place of pilgrimage for lovers of the work of two of the best authors of our literature. It is in the cemetery of St Mary, behind Scarborough Castle, one of the most spectacular castles in England, with a privileged location above the village and that gives you stunning views of the Yorkshire coast. In addition, inside the grounds you can visit an exhibition or have a drink in the old Master Gunner’s House, now converted into a cafe.

Through the lavender fields in Brihuega (Where, how and when to see the flowering?)Few would have imagined not too long ago that, just an hour from Madrid, in the town of Brihuega (Guadalajara), there was a large area of lavender fields capable of turning this part of the region of La Alcarria in a little piece of La Provence. The purple color is…
