Visiting new england
Brighton The most famous of the coastal cities in the south of the country is only 1 hour by train from the English capital. Services depart every half hour from Victoria or London Bridge, and leave in the heart of the city, where it is worth tasting a fish and chips in front of the sea, take a dip in summer or admire its architectural gems. Its gastronomic effervescence invites you to start the day with a brunch in one of its cafes, to continue strolling through its streets among fashion stores and art galleries. One of the best ways to end the visit before returning to London is strolling along the Palace Pier, the pier of the city, inaugurated in 1899.
Salisbury and Stonehenge One of the most emblematic places in England, Stonehenge, is located less than two hours from London, making it the perfect getaway to get away from the bustle of the city and connect with nature and the magic of the place. The nearest station to reach the megalithic monument is Salisbury, which is about 90 minutes from London’s Waterloo and Paddingron stations. From the town, buses run to Stonehenge (the journey takes about 20 minutes), although there are also other Neolithic and Bronze Age ruins worth visiting, such as the remains of Durrington Walls, the largest Neolithic earthen settlement in the UK. Before returning to the capital, expect Salisbury Cathedral and the lively streets of Fisherton and Milford Hill.

If we talk about New England, we are referring to a region located in the northeastern part of the United States made up of 6 states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
It really depends on what “scenery” you want to enjoy. If you are planning to travel on the hottest and sunniest days, summer is a good time to visit New England from late May through mid-September. During this period, especially in and around the coastal towns and northward toward Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, you can enjoy cool nights and perfectly warm days, ideal for discovering these enchanted places.
The second, Chatham, is famous for its iconic Coast Guard Lighthouse, and its white beaches were also the arrival point for some of the early Pilgrim Fathers who then continued on to Plymouth.
We highly recommend stopping for lunch in one of the coastal villages to appreciate the delicious lobster rolls or freshly caught and cooked lobsters, which are typical dishes of the area. We will arrive in the town of Bar Harbor (Acadia Park) in the early evening.
