A one day tour to Paris is feasible, but expensive, because you have to pay for the Eurostar tickets and, either you buy them in advance, or they are not usually cheap, and if you buy them in advance unless you have too much money (please, don’t be offended by the comment) to buy a flexible ticket, you will be tied to travel a specific day “equis” and that day it could rain cats and dogs… But it is feasible, because the trip to Paris on http://www.eurostar.com lasts 2h15 (with time difference).
I was not the one who asked the question but I found it very useful, as it is a very detailed answer. In a few days I will travel to London. I will be there for 16 days and I am also organizing different tours.

For departures from London: pick up at the specified hotels and transfer to Kings Cross station from where you will take a train to Edinburgh. After breakfast we will follow the route to Inverness, on arrival we will make a panoramic tour of the city. After visiting Inverness, we will continue along the banks of Loch Ness, the home of “Nessie”, the elusive monster that lives in the depths of the loch. You will have the opportunity to take a boat trip on Loch Ness (optional). We will leave the Loch towards Fort William where we will have free time for lunch before crossing the Glencoe Valley towards the Trossachs National Park and Loch Lomond, the largest lake in Scotland, where we can admire the impressive and romantic scenery of the first National Park created by the Scottish government. In the afternoon we will arrive in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, where we will make a panoramic visit of the city before arriving at the hotel.
