After breakfast we will leave County Galway and travel south to the Cliffs of Moher. We will first cross The Burren (Gaelic for “Rocky Ground”), an important stretch of Unesco-protected limestone land facing the Atlantic. Arriving at the Cliffs of Moher, 200 meters high above sea level and 8 km long, we will experience the sense of freedom, we will spend an hour touring and admiring them. Then we will pass through the city of Limerick, where we will have free time to stroll through the streets and have lunch. We will continue on our way to County Cork, “The Valley of Gold” has spectacular scenery, a rich cultural and gastronomic heritage, and a historical heritage that can compete with other major cities in Ireland. Barley production made Cork one of the main producers of whiskey where the most famous distillery in the country is located. We will take a panoramic tour of Cork passing by such landmarks as St. Anne Shandon Church, the Lying Clock and St. Finbar’s Protestant Cathedral. Cork, like Venice, is a city built on water and is home to the all-important commercial port, one of the largest ports in the world after Sydney and San Francisco.
