The rules for entry into the United States are strict and, before flying to your destination, you’ll want to successfully complete all the formalities to enter the country. One of the most popular is the ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) application. This is the document that will allow you to enter as a tourist, as long as your passport certifies you as a citizen of a country that does not require a visa. You can apply for it online, although it is advisable to read each requirement carefully to avoid being denied.
Renting a car or a caravan is something frequent among those who feel that restlessness so characteristic of the most intrepid travelers. If this is your case, you should know that driving is different. Without going to the extreme of driving in England (they go in the opposite direction), in the United States they are quite strict with the speed limit and skipping the limit can get you in trouble with the authorities. Do you know the best way to get away with it? Yes, take out travel insurance that, among other things, covers the necessary expenses to get out of complicated situations that require the payment of a bail bond or the fees of a lawyer.
All international travel requires a passport. If you are traveling to another country, you will need a passport to board the international flight and enter the country. Passport cards will not be accepted as identification for international air travel.
To enter the U.S. through the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), each passenger must have a machine-readable passport. If your passport does not have a machine-readable zone, you will need to have a valid visa.
Permanent residents of Australia and all visa-exempt foreign travelers will need a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authorization (NZeTA). This requirement takes effect from October 1, 2019 for travelers traveling to or from New Zealand.
If you cannot present a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate you will be denied entry to Nicaragua and will have to return to where you came from on the next available flight.
Medical insurance is mandatory for travel to Canada.
The Canadian eTA performs the same function as the Canadian visa, which can be applied for and obtained online without having to go to the Canadian embassy or consulate. Canada eTA is valid for business administration, tourist or transit purposes only.
The eTA Canada visa is an online document and is electronically linked to your passport, so there is no need to print anything. You should apply for the eTA Canada visa 3 days prior to your flight to Canada. Once you have received your eTA Canada visa in the email, you should also arrange the following before boarding your flight to Canada:

Passengers traveling from Vancouver, BC must arrive at least one hour prior to departure for border crossing processing. In locations such as Montreal, QC or Toronto, ON, passengers must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Non-U.S. citizens entering the country must also complete the I-94 Arrival Record and pay a $6 fee. If you choose to complete the entire process on board the train, you must have $6 in cash, in U.S. currency (the exact amount), to submit with the form.
