The Hong Kong eTA Canada visa is not optional, but a mandatory requirement for all Hong Kong citizens traveling to the country for short stays. Before traveling to Canada, the traveler must ensure that the validity of the passport is at least three months after the intended departure date.
An online application form can be completed in as little as five (5) minutes. Applicants are required to enter information on their passport page, personal details, their contact details such as email and address, and employment details. The applicant must be in good health and have no criminal record.
Once the fees have been paid, processing of the eTA application begins. Canada eTA is sent by email. The Canada visa for Hong Kong citizens will be sent by email, after they have completed the online application form with the required information and once the online credit card payment has been verified. In very rare circumstances, if additional documentation is required, the applicant will be contacted prior to approval of the Canada eTA.
