As of the 30th, the conditions for short trips of less than 72 hours outside Canada are relaxed and new vaccines are included in the list of allowed vaccinations; people vaccinated with Sinopharm, Sinovac and COVAXIN are allowed to enter without quarantine. This is great news if you are going to study and work in Canada, or even if you are already a permanent resident, as it will be easier for you to travel.
In addition to all this, if you are a student or temporary worker, you must have all the necessary documents related to your study or work visa. And you will have to download and fill in all the fields of the ArriveCAN application before going through the check-in counter!

To be considered a fully vaccinated traveler, you must have at least 2 doses of an accepted vaccine or a combination of 2 allowed vaccines, with the exception of Jansen which is only 1 dose. And you must have completed the vaccination schedule at least 2 weeks before arriving in Canada.

Australia’s eTA Canada visa is not optional, but a mandatory requirement for all Australian citizens traveling to the country for short stays. Before traveling to Canada, the traveler must ensure that the validity of the passport is at least three months after the intended departure date.
An online application form can be completed in as little as five (5) minutes. Applicants are required to enter information on their passport page, personal details, their contact details such as email and address, and employment details. The applicant must be in good health and have no criminal record.
Once the fees have been paid, processing of the eTA application begins. Canada eTA is sent by email. The Canada visa for Australian citizens will be sent by email, after they have completed the online application form with the required information and once the online credit card payment has been verified. In very rare circumstances, if additional documentation is required, the applicant will be contacted prior to approval of the Canada eTA.

Hugs and tears as travel “bubble” opens
The EU Council announced Monday that it had removed Argentina, Australia and Canada from the list of countries whose citizens could be admitted for non-essential travel, and reimposed travel restrictions on them.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the European Union closed its borders in March 2020 to non-essential travel and has since periodically updated a list of countries from which passengers are admitted.
In a statement, the EU Council reported that it “updated the list of countries, special administrative regions and other territorial entities and authorities for which travel restrictions should be lifted. In particular Argentina, Australia and Canada were removed from the list.”
However, the communiqué notes that the “this is without prejudice to the possibility for member states to lift the temporary restriction on non-essential travel to the EU for travelers with all vaccines”.
