Upon arrival in Calgary, pick up your rental car at the airport and explore at your own pace – it’s the best way to see Canada. Check into the Arts Hotel for the night. The hotel is located just steps from the Peace Bridge and is the ideal base for exploring this vibrant city.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Banff, Lake Louise and the surrounding national park. We recommend taking a ride on the Banff Gondola for panoramic views of the Bow Valley. When you reach the top of Sulphur Mountain, take a dip in Canada’s highest hot springs. Banff itself offers many attractions, including the Canadian Ski Museum West, craft stores and quirky cafes.

Today there is time to explore Vancouver at your own pace. You can visit Coal Harbour Walkway and the Vancouver Aquarium in West End and Gastown, the city’s most historic districts. How to visit banff

Among all the things I could mention about traveling, why I love it, what motivates me or why I write about it, my favorite theme will always be the impact each new place has on our perspective of the world and life.  Travel is about knowing and appreciating diversity. We can explore great cities, where the history and cultural expression of humanity is reflected in their buildings. It is fascinating the footprint that humans have left on the planet, the different customs and traditions, and it is ultimately the diversity factor that makes the difference between one place and another attractive.

But today lets go back to basics, to our primary school classes about the water cycle, because this trip is about immersing in one of the most complete and wonderful ecosystems in the world, where time, physics and nature are the patient architects of the landscape and the human being is just a spectator.

I wrote this post with two objectives; the first is simply to satisfy my irresistible desire to share all my thoughts and experiences on this trip and the second is to transmit and spread through these stories the love for nature and the desire to know and care for these ecosystems. We hear it all the time, we have to take care of the planet… but there is no better wake up call than being there and thinking that everything you are seeing could cease to exist if we don’t take care of it. It just doesn’t fit in your head how something so WONDERFUL could disappear. You are left with nothing but a strong and desperate desire to do something to help and this is the best way I found.
