Individuals with a valid Canadian passport, Permanent Resident Card (PRC) or visa, as well as U.S. citizens, are not eligible to apply for an eTA and must present their original documents in order to travel.
Travelers must apply for an eTA before traveling to Canada by completing the online application form at Canada.ca/eta. These documents will open in a separate browser window (available in English only).
Most applicants receive their eTA within minutes.
