About the city:Bangkok, one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Asia, is the capital of Thailand. Bangkok is hot and crowded, but it is quite clean and offers a lot of fun things to do. Bangkok is a great commercial center and offers a lot of culture, amazing temples, delicious food and a decent art scene.
Most of Bangkok’s tourist attractions are concentrated on the island of Rattanakosin, often referred to as the Old City. The Grand Palace is the quintessential tourist site. The Grand Palace complex also houses the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Keow, the holiest Buddhist temple. Other famous temples in Bangkok are the temples of Wat Pho and Wat Arun.
Bangkok is a great place for shopping. There are many stores, malls and markets to satisfy all desires. The nightlife in Bangkok is as varied as the city itself, from beer halls, to exclusive clubs, to markets, discos to hippy parties.
