Can you travel to russia now that the war has ended?

As of January 1, 2021, European Union citizens may travel freely for tourism to the United Kingdom visa-free for a maximum stay of 6 months but must travel with a valid passport.

There are several changes and new regulations concerning E.U. and E.E.E. nationals entering the U.K., as well as the implementation of an ESTA application system, but nothing has been officially approved or published at this time.

Citizens of countries who are required to obtain a visa to travel to the UK must provide guarantees that they will return to their country at the end of their visit and that they will not remain in the country with an expired visa. Also, evidence of sufficient financial means to cover all your expenses during your stay. Also, proof of the reasons for visiting the United Kingdom, in case of visiting for business or meeting family or friends.

In case of being interested in doing some kind of academic course, internship or studies for a period longer than 6 months, it will be mandatory to have a visa (Short-Term Study Visa) for courses or studies for a period of 11 months or a Student Visa to follow university courses, masters or specializations for a longer period of time in universities or similar academic institutions.

Russia open borders

Each country has its own rules for visitors of various nationalities. Therefore, before departure, we recommend that you check the entry and travel requirements of the country you plan to visit.

Please note that entry and travel restrictions may apply in some destinations. As a traveler, you are responsible for ensuring that you meet the necessary requirements to gain access to your destination before leaving the airport.

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is a requirement for foreign nationals without a visa traveling to or through Canada by air. Citizens and travelers with a valid visa are not included.

Restrictions on Russia

Actually it is always the same standard document, which consists of 2 parts: a “voucher of services”=”voucher” (in English or Russian) plus a “confirmation of reception of foreign tourist”=”confirmation of accommodation booking” =”podtverzhdenie” (in Russian). This document is issued by a Russian travel agency authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to issue it or a hotel entitled to do so. In most cases this document is arranged when you book your accommodation in Russia (but it is not automatic, you have to do it specially), i.e. when booking any type of accommodation, do not forget to ask about it (ask for “visa support”) before booking. There are also travel or visa agencies that manage it as an additional service. They provide a copy by fax or in PDF format. The visa will be issued exactly for the dates of stay indicated in the letter of invitation. Normally it is not required to present a reservation of air or train tickets to apply for the visa (you can read all the requirements on their website). The visa will be affixed to a page of your passport.

You can travel to russia without a visa

In these cases, you can continue to use your national identity card to enter the UK until at least 31 December 2025. All other travelers will need a passport to enter the UK after this date.

If you are a US, Canadian or Australian tourist, you will be able to travel visa-free in the UK, provided you have a valid passport and your reason for visiting complies with immigration rules.

If you are a citizen of Kuwait, Oman, Qatar or the United Arab Emirates and are planning to visit the UK, you may be able to obtain an e-visa waiver in lieu of a visa. You can find more details here.
