The European Union closed the entire airspace of its 27 countries to Russian aircraft on Sunday, following a steady stream of airspace closure announcements by member countries over the weekend.
The zone was expanded from 100 to 200 nautical miles from the Ukrainian border with Russia. EASA argues that the expanded zone now considers the “risk posed by the threat of missile launches to and from Ukraine.”
“We have guests traveling in late March and early April to Poland, but that is more than a month away. It’s impossible to say now how it will evolve. We are basically in wait-and-see mode,” Kozlowski said by email.
Tourists with short-term plans to visit Poland are advised to book accommodation in advance, “as some of the hotel infrastructure may be earmarked for those in need.”

The foreign ministers of the European Union states have agreed to suspend the agreement on visa issuance signed with Russia in 2007, making the procedures more difficult and expensive.
The political agreement does not mean a total ban on travel to the EU, but it will make it more difficult for Russian citizens who want a permit for stays of up to 90 days. This agreement was already partially suspended for civil servants and businessmen, but will now be suspended completely.
“Member states feel that business as usual cannot continue. We have agreed politically that something has to be done,” announced EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borrell.

We will be met at the airport and then transferred to the hotel. We will have free time to begin our first explorations of this enigmatic city. In the afternoon, we will be briefed about the start of the tour.
We will start our day with an exciting visit to the immense Russian capital, a city that unites past, present and future like few others. We will stroll along its immense avenues, its elegant shopping areas, the Red Square where Lenin’s Mausoleum is located, St. Basil’s Cathedral and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. We will also visit the Kremlin and two of its main cathedrals. We will try, although we cannot guarantee it, to coincide our visit with the military ceremonial procession that takes place in Sobornaya Square. Afterwards we will have the afternoon at leisure, to continue discovering Moscow’s charm.
Three hours south of St. Petersburg, Novgorod is one of the most important historical centers in Russia. The origins of this city date back to the 9th century, when it became one of the main commercial and ecclesiastical centers of Russia. The reconstructed kremlin, the centerpiece of the city, contains the beautiful St. Sophia Cathedral, perhaps the oldest building in Russia with frescoes dating back to the 12th century. The city is full of cultural relics, such as the Facet Palace, a 15th century clock tower and numerous impressive churches, museums and galleries. We will visit this impressive city with a specialized guide, who will also take us to the outskirts of the city, to visit the Museum of Wooden Architecture, an open-air museum depicting peasant houses and beautiful, highly decorated wooden churches. After lunch, we will continue to St. Petersburg, where we will start a short panoramic tour in this city crossed by the Neva River and built on 40 islands. Afterwards we will check in at the hotel.
