Note: For E-Visa Holders: Persons who obtained the E-Visa e-visa with their previous passport, but are traveling to India with their current reissued passport, are hereby informed that the e-visa obtained with the previous passport will remain valid as long as both passports, one in which the e-visa was initially registered and the new passport, are carried by the e-visa holder at the time of travel to India. Visa Services: The Embassy of India in Caracas has introduced online submission of visa applications as of October 7, 2013. Applications should be completed in the “Regular / Paper Visa Application” section available at the following link: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html and submit your application directly to the Embassy or through the Consular Section email: cons.caracas@mea.gov.in.
Transit Visas should also be obtained in advance, like other Visas, for the purpose of direct Transit to another country through India. The completed visa application form, confirmed air bookings, visa for the final destination, etc., must be submitted at the time of applying for the Transit Visa. The duration of transit should not normally exceed three days. For a stay in India of more than three days, a visa of the appropriate category should be applied for.
