Tourist Visa for India
Confused about the difference between a green card and a visa? Don’t worry. Like most of the paperwork in the U.S. immigration system, this is complicated.
A visa is a document that allows you to travel to a U.S. port of entry, airport or border crossing and request permission to enter the United States. After you are approved, they will stamp the visa in your passport.

What is a visa? A citizen of a foreign country seeking to enter the United States must generally first obtain a U.S. visa, which is placed in the traveler’s passport, a travel document issued by the country of which he or she is a citizen. Certain international travelers may be eligible to travel to the United States without a visa if they meet the requirements for visa-free travel. The visa section of this website discusses U.S. visas for foreign nationals traveling to the United States. Visit Travel.State.gov if you have additional questions. Note: U.S. citizens do not need a U.S. visa to travel, but when planning to travel abroad they may need a visa issued by the embassy of the country they wish to visit. Do you know what type of visa you need? For nonimmigrant visas, you can go directly to the DS-160 online application; or for immigrant visas, go directly to the USCIS website to find the appropriate forms. If you are unsure, use the “visa wizard” below to help you determine your visa type.

Depending on the country you are traveling to (there is a big difference between traveling within the European Union or outside) and whether you are passing through or settling there, the requirements for driving there may vary:
If you are going to live abroad and want to take your car with you, you may have to register it in the country where you are going to live. Check with the consulate of the country you are moving to to find out the conditions for moving your vehicle and the requirements for driving there.
We advise you to find out from the consulate or tourist office of the country you are going to visit if you need the so-called Carnet de Passages or Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD), which is the equivalent of a vehicle passport and is required in some countries of the world to be able to drive your vehicle.
It is also important that you find out if it is necessary to carry in your vehicle the so-called Green Card, which guarantees the coverage of your license and facilitates the transit of the vehicle in case of an accident. The Green Card must be provided by your insurance company.
