We thank #Links Magazine of the Ecuadorian-British Chamber of Commerce for its space in which we include the main activities of this Embassy and Ecuadorian compatriots in the United Kingdom.

Ecuador is on the red list of countries in the United Kingdom, so only British, Irish nationals and people with right of residence in the UK will be allowed access to the country. They will have to undergo compulsory isolation for ten (10) days and eleven (11) nights in one of the authorized hotels; all expenses are at the expense of each citizen. For more information about the compulsory isolation, please visit the following link:

For travelers from the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa and the European Union entering the country on December 22, or through humanitarian flights regardless of the date, the following must be presented:

– In the event that a traveler residing in Ecuador has boarded or embarked with a positive RT-PCR test, the rapid antigen test will not be performed and must perform mandatory isolation at the address declared upon entry for ten (10) days; and, in the case of travelers not residing in Ecuador must perform mandatory isolation in one of the hotels authorized for this purpose in a strict manner for ten (10) days.

Strong Argentine rejection of a British travel contest

The new variant of the coronavirus, which prompted the UK government to impose a Level 4 blockade in London and southeast England and tighten restrictions for all of England over the festive period, is “out of control,” Health Secretary Matt Hancock said Sunday. He said this on the same day that the UK broke its daily record for coronavirus cases, recording 35,928 new infections.

Canada announced it will ban most passenger travel from the U.K. starting at midnight Sunday for at least 72 hours. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed the news in a tweet Sunday night and said it was to ‘protect’ Canadians across the country.

Johnson stressed that in Level 4 areas under the most stringent restrictions, there would be no chance of domestic bubble mixing over Christmas. In areas with lower alert levels in England, Scotland and Wales, mixing will now be allowed only on Christmas Day.

Second day of record covid-19 infections in the united kingdom

On March 14, 2022, the presentation of the vaccination passport in those places where it was required (leisure and cultural centers, commercial catering, trade fairs and professional shows, etc.) ceased to be mandatory. Similarly, the health passport ceased to be in force on August 1, 2022.

Since the beginning of the crisis, the health control system has made it possible to preserve our health system and to delay the arrival on French territory of variants with worrying characteristics. This system ceased to be in force on August 1, 2022.

However, in the event of the emergence of a dangerous variant, the entry into French territory of travelers from countries considered to be at risk could again be subject to the presentation of a negative virological test.

For information on health regulations concerning entry into the territory of other countries, please consult the Travel Advice section of the website of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
