Simple, because it seems that people like to imagine instead of asking, luckily a family that was about to travel with their children through America and came to visit us at our house being this their first stop on the trip asked us directly while we were getting to know each other. How much did they spend? How did you travel? When they heard the answer they confessed to us in a moment of greater confidence… “We had already found your blog some time ago while you were traveling but we didn’t follow you and we discarded it as a source of information because we thought you were millionaires…” (laughs). What is a visa? A citizen of a foreign country seeking to enter the United States must generally first obtain a U.S. visa, which is placed in the traveler’s passport, a travel document issued by the country of which he or she is a citizen. Certain international travelers may be eligible to travel to the United States without a visa if they meet the requirements for visa-free travel. The visa section of this website discusses U.S. visas for foreign nationals traveling to the United States. Visit Travel.State.gov if you have additional questions. Note: U.S. citizens do not need a U.S. visa to travel, but when planning to travel abroad they may need a visa issued by the embassy of the country they wish to visit. Do you know what type of visa you need? For nonimmigrant visas, you can go directly to the DS-160 online application; or for immigrant visas, go directly to the USCIS website to find the appropriate forms.
