Ezeiza: caution at the airport due to the increase in the number of cases of
We travel more and more and for different reasons: tourism, work, business, humanitarian cooperation, and sometimes we travel to very distant places. In all these situations, we must take a series of precautions to protect our health.
In the same way that we organize details relating to transportation and stay, it should also be standard practice to take the necessary health measures to reduce the risks associated with travel, by consulting specialized health professionals at international vaccination centers and health centers.
If your destination is a tropical or subtropical country with endemic malaria, you should be aware that malaria is a serious disease transmitted by a mosquito (Anopheles) that injects the malaria parasite into the blood when it bites.
Although there are four species of the malaria parasite that can infect humans and produce the disease (Plasmodium falciparum, P. malariae, P. vivax and P. ovale), it is only P. falciparum that is potentially life-threatening. There is a real risk that anyone of any age can contract this disease.

When traveling it is important to know in advance the chosen destination, not only to prepare the route, choose flights and accommodations, know something about their culture and customs, it is also necessary to know what kind of dangers we can find and how to solve it, so the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation reports, on its website, which countries are more dangerous and which ones should not be visited.
El Salvador because it has one of the highest homicide rates in the world and there are criminal groups called “maras” (gangs) operating throughout the country; in Honduras the insecurity situation is serious, especially in the large urban centers of Tegucigalpa, Ceiba and San Pedro Sula; in Nicaragua where there are strong disturbances in several parts of the country; Venezuela has a very high level of insecurity, and homicide and kidnapping rates are a cause for concern.
In St. Lucia, with the start of the high tourist season, the number of violent street robberies, rapes and especially armed robberies in homes has increased again; in Guatemala, in February, the Fuego volcano erupted; and finally, in Suriname, there may be cases of infection by the dengue, chikungunya and zika viruses.
First trip to London: information and tips
A passenger wearing a mask at San Oscar Romero International Airport in San Luis Talpa, El Salvador, undergoes temperature monitoring as a precaution against the spread of the new coronavirus, March 12, 2020.
“Airports, bus stations, train stations and rest stops are places where travelers may be exposed to the virus. These are also places where it can be difficult to distance oneself socially,” the institution cited its web portal.
Among the recommendations issued on how to protect yourself, whether coming or going to El Salvador, are: get tested for the virus three days in advance and do not travel until the results are delivered; or, if the test is positive, provide any health information required or requested by health authorities.
Safety measures for travel during the pandemic. The
1Whoever did not know anything about such a subject beforehand, and nevertheless would set out to find out what it refers to, would begin with a very general conceptual and lexical reflection: would it be a question of speaking of travelers on the one hand, and naturalists on the other, or of travelers who had left observations on natural realities? Or would it be more specifically a question of evoking the subclass of travelers who were at the same time naturalists or who pretended to act and/or acted as such?
2Then, a first simple question that could be answered in more or less general terms would be to know who should be designated as travelers. Then, among them, and in particular for a more recent period, let us say from the 18th century onwards (Pimentel: 47), who were the naturalists, where they were, what they were interested in and what consequences their activities could have had in the field of knowledge and also in the development of the American societies that were the objects of their observations. This impact may have consisted in helping (directly or indirectly) to raise awareness of the existence of a past, of a heritage, of a culture that deserves to be integrated into the national heritage and general knowledge. It may also have contributed to the emergence of projects and institutions dedicated to discovering and protecting this past and this heritage. And most certainly, it served for the prestige and development of the nations from which the naturalist travelers came (Kury 2001: 147 ff.).
