We will be met at the airport by our guides and transferred to our accommodation in Cape Town. We will start our stay in Cape Town with a visit to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. A walk through these famous gardens might reward us with sightings of some of the endemic species of fynbos. Fynbos is a highly diverse plant formation of fine-leaved plants. Up to 8,500 plant species represent one of Africa’s botanical treasures.
Thus, some of the species present include the Suimanga pechinaranja and the Cape Serin. The impressive Cape honey bee-eater is also a highlight among others. We will take the opportunity to stroll through the gardens learning about the indigenous flora of the Cape. On the way back to our hotel, we will stop at the Signal Hill lookout, which offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Lion’s Head, the city, Table Bay and Table Mountain.
Today we will start the day early in order to spend as much time as possible in the West Coast National Park. The beautiful and tranquil Langebaan Lagoon is an internationally recognized reserve for its importance for migratory birds. More than 250 species of birds have been observed in the lagoon and it is a must-see for any birding enthusiast. Two of the birds we will be looking for today are the Black-bellied Bustard and the African Black Oystercatcher, both endemic to South Africa. In addition, we hope to be able to observe some interesting bird species from the observatories.

Plugs, sockets, adapters and the rest of the information you need to travel from Finland to South Africa on this page. If you want a report with other countries, restart the wizard to find electrical adapters for your trip here.
Different voltages are used within countries. Different voltages may be used in different regions and/or cities. You will have to be very careful about this. Before plugging in an electrical device, you should check your device and ask a local person for the voltage used. If you move to a different area of the country, you should ask again. Using electrical devices with different voltages than you are prepared for can break the device and even cause a fire. Please keep reading this page for more information.
On the positive side, nowadays many devices automatically adapt to the mains voltage and work perfectly, for example, cell phone chargers are often multi-voltage (but please check yours in particular).
