Africa is a very massive continent, facing the coasts of Europe and Asia, which offers a very varied relief. Its location from Cape Blanco to Cape Agulhas, from North to South, and from Cape Guardafui to Cape Verde, makes Africa a tropical continent.
The African continent is full of exuberant and exotic places, like the Sahara, a world full of sand, which extends through Algeria, Libya and Egypt, of embracing heat, oases and dunes, of great contrasts in the rainy season, or like the Etosha National Park, in Namibia, where animals coexist that you will not see anywhere else.
Towards the month of January, in South Africa a center of low pressure is established that merges with the equatorial low pressure, reaching eastern Sudan, this area of minimum barometer contributes greatly to accentuate the contrast in the African climatology.
Most of Kenya’s national parks are located to the north, full of exotic wildlife that withstands the high temperatures, big cats, giraffes and zebras are some of the species that coexist in this region. Samburu Reserve is one of them.
In addition, during this season the animals tend to concentrate around ponds, wells and accumulations of water so it is easier to observe them during the course of a safari. And as the vegetation is less lush and green, we can spot the animals more easily.
The best period to discover the Rift Valley and the West is from June to September, as well as from January to February. In this area you will find volcanoes, plains and lakes, as well as abundant and varied fauna. You will be able to tour the territory aboard safari vehicles in search of zebras, leopards, hippos, rhinos and other wildlife. Easier to spot are the thousands of pink flamingos that invade some of its lakes, such as Lake Nakuru.
Kenya’s many beaches are perfect for leisure and relaxation. Diani, Tiwi or Shela are some of the most beautiful in the country. We also recommend you to drop by the fishing villages, such as Takaungu and Watamu, wonderful.
